A smiling Prince George can brighten anyone’s gloomy day! But as he grows older, he’s starting to look like someone we know.
We just love celebrating each other’s birthdays! It is probably the only day in the year where we could kick back, relax a bit, and be showered with praise and gifts from everyone.
So you can imagine how wonderful Prince George of Cambridge must feel from celebrating his 5th birthday with his family. You can see him here beaming wide in his home of Clarence House, after his brother Louis’ christening.
The young prince celebrated his birthday last July 22, Sunday. It was reported by the Daily Mail that he spent his birthday with his family on the Caribbean island of Mustique off of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He is officially the third in line to the throne, behind his father, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his grandfather, Charles, the Prince of Wales.
George, the eldest of the Queen’s grandchildren, has also started to look after his father. Stepping out of Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace, he wore a simple white shirt with blue piping and navy shorts. Someone give the royal stylists a raise- this look came straight out of the Royal Archives.
Indeed, this is a classic look for any royal prince, but we couldn’t help but notice he copied his father William, seen here as a wee lad in April 1985. Those golden bangs are also indisputably part of the Windsor bloodline. If you thought that this mimicry is adorable, wait until you see the next double-take!
The above photo was actually the first instance that the young prince emulated his father’s ensembles. In 2015, George wore a white and red pairing in his first meeting with his younger sister, Princess Charlotte. We LOVE this callback to when William visited his brother Harry for the first time as well.
