We have yet to watch all the Disney movies scheduled to come out this 2018 (Who hasn’t watched The Incredibles 2 yet?!), but the House of Mouse is trudging forward. Several outlets have reported that Disney has released its full slate of movies for 2019, along with other projects with no definite release dates.
Take note that these dates are just the initial estimates set by the company and are subject to changes in the coming months. There are also conflicting reports as to the final release dates of certain titles: the live-action Mulan film can come out as early as November 8, 2019, or as late as March 27, 2020.
Not that we really care about how long (or how expensive) it is to produce these films. Many of us at Fun Kids Guide have been waiting for our favorite Chinese warrior/honorable daughter to make her live-action debut! And did we mention that a New-Zealand based actor will be playing an important role in the film?
Mulan-loving aside, here are the movies scheduled to come out in 2019:
- Dumbo, March 29, 2019
- Penguins- April 19, 2019
- Avengers 4- May 3, 2019
- Aladdin- May 24, 2019
- Toy Story 4- June 21, 2019
- The Lion King- July 19, 2019
- Mulan- November 8, 2019/March 27, 2020
- Frozen 2- November 27, 2019
- Star Wars Episode IX- December 20, 2019
- Cruella- December 22, 2019
Feeling some Disney Withdrawal Syndrome? Don’t worry, there are still some Bob Iger-approved flicks releasing this year. Marvel’s not-so-pint-sized heist film Ant-Man and the Wasp is coming to theatres on July 6, and we get to see what happens to our favourites from the Hundred-Acre Wood again in Christopher Robin, coming out in August 3. And there’s also The Nutcracker, the Disney Princess-filled Wreck-it-Ralph 2, and the Return of a certain flying nanny.
