    Carols on the Hill

    Date: December 17, 2017

Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

The Archdiocese of Hobart warmly welcomes you to the inaugural Carols on the Hill event. Carols on the Hill is a free, traditional outdoor carols event specifically designed for families to share in the joyful spirit of Christmas. Supported by the City of Hobart, the event will be staged at the Hobart campus of Guilford Young College on Sunday, 17 December between 7-9.00pm, with gates opening from 6pm. The oval is secure and can comfortably hold around 1200 people – making it an ideal venue for families with children. Compered by Tasmanian-born speaker and author Sam Clear, Carols on the Hill will feature local group and individual performances, as well as community carol singing. The lighting of candles as dusk descends on the city is sure to make for a memorable carols event. A giving tree will offer people the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items to support those in need this Christmas, and families are invited to light a candle and say a prayer at the Nativity scene. We look forward to welcoming you as we join together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
