Ever wonder how Toastmasters meeting is done?

A member may be assigned with roles to ensure the meeting runs properly. Each meeting revolves around the theme of the afternoon. Everything will be related to it.

In our club, we start by a Light moments activity, where we play games, sing, dance or anything to set the mood for the afternoon. Followed by a Toastmasters trademark, Table Topics, which is a practice for impromptu speaking. We also deliver prepared speeches from an educational manual called Pathways, which is designed to integrate communication and leadership tracks.

All of the speeches, prepared or impromptu are evaluated by the assigned evaluators among the members. Not only the speakers, but also their evaluators will be further evaluated by the General Evaluator. This way, we make sure that each one will know how much they have improved.

In the Evaluation, there is also a technical part where the time spent, language usage (sentence structure, grammar slips) and uh utterances (uh, uhm, repetitive and filler words) by each members are reported.
