Building on the success of our event in Waitangi Park last year, Wellington Palestine and friends invite you to join our Family Fun Day in Frank Kitts park to showcase and celebrate Palestinian and Middle Eastern culture. The event is free and open to all, but be sure to bring some cash to sample: – Delicious Middle Eastern savoury delights – Fantastic Arabian desserts (among others) – Beautiful Palestinian products and – Arabian clothes – Hand henna designs – Special henna inspired candles/booklets Who knows, there may even be spontaneous dabke dancing, as there was at least year’s successful event. Bring your friends and family, grab a bite to eat or just soak up the sun and let the dabke beats wash over you. Stall holder swill include: Levant Sweets, Zari Henna, Kai from Egypt, Preserved Identity, Trade Aid, and Wellington City Library.
Open to Kiwi kids aged 6-15 years the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a fun and rewarding day out for everyone. Kids of all sporting abilities swim, cycle, and run their way around age appropriate courses, either as an individual or as part of a team of two.

The Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge at Camp Wainui in Wainuiomata from Wednesday, 20 May to Thursday, 21 May 2020 is a chance for primary and intermediate aged kids to get involved in New Zealand’s biggest mud run series in a version tailored especially for them! The Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge will include many of the same amazing perks as adult version, such as outstanding goodie bags, challenging obstacles, incredible venues, hot showers and spot prizes. There is a 1.5km course for school years 3 to 4 and 3km course for years 5 to 8.
