Enjoy a self-drive tour of the stunning Tamar Valley and visit farms that produce beef, apples, pork, hazelnuts, wine, cider, truffles, seafood, salads and herbs, olive oil, berries and more. Drive together with friends to make a great day awesome. Experience a Festival Feast prepared by well-known Tasmanian chefs featuring produce from the Festival Farms.

    Light up the Tree

    Date: November 30, 2018

    Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

    Hobart’s newest tradition is the official lighting of the giant Christmas tree at Mawson Place on Constitution Dock. The family friendly event will have free activities, food trucks selling Christmas treats and entertainment throughout the evening. Carols will be performed by The Friends School choir and the TSO brass quartet, as well as an appearance by Santa Claus himself! The City of Hobart invites the public to donate to Variety the Children’s Charity at the event, and will match every donation made. At 8.30 pm the tree will light up to celebrate the beginning of the festive season.

    International Day of People with DisAbility – Fun Day Out

    Date: December 1, 2018

    Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

    As part of a day on Parliament Lawns, the community will be able to engage in a range of sport and recreation options including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair AFL, sensory nature play, fun and inclusive track and field events, juggling and more. The event is co-hosted by Special Olympics Tasmania and New Horizons Club Inc. and is an opportunity for sporting groups to share inclusive programs with the broader community.
