    Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market

    The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is the largest of its kind in South Australia with around 90 local farmers and producers representing every region of the state, selling fresh, seasonal produce direct to consumers. Products on sale include fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, nuts, honey, dairy, seafood, chutney, jam, pastries, cheese, bread and smallgoods. Recognised as the nation’s best farmers’ market by both the Australian Traveller Magazine in 2015 and Delicious Magazine in 2016, the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market attracts about 6,000 shoppers each week. The market offers an unique experience for customers to be able to have a chat with the farmers and producers, hearing about their farming practices and even learning a homemade recipe or two! There are so many different stalls with producers from all over South Australia coming to the market and with the summer harvesting period coming to a close for so many SA farmers, there’s never been a better time to visit the market. Kids can learn about where their food comes from and the importance of eating healthy, fresh food. With so many stalls parents might even find a new healthy lunchbox snack! There’s also a new kids zone for them to enjoy, which is sure to bring a smile to many little faces.
