    Paint and Play

    Category: Classes and Art

Paint and play offers a program where the children learn, grow and develop through play, by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in each child. Our sessions last for two hours which allow the opportunity to provide a range of experiences to suit every child and their interests. It gives plenty of time to move around and try new activities and then to enjoy the more structured experiences in the latter part of the session. The first part of the morning is solely for free play, allowing the child to settle in and enjoy the toys and experiences on offer that session. They can do painting and art and craft, sensory activities and interact with their peers.  During the second half of the morning, the activities are teacher-led and include parachute games, dancing and singing, playing musical instruments, using props and puppets and a story together to finish off the session. Participation in the singing and dancing is optional and some children choose not to join in, that is absolutely fine and there are always toys and activities available for them to play with.
